The weight schematic for Greater Watertown Area League
Mitey Mites
7-9 years old 45-90 lbs
We are adding 6lbs for a child to certify, since we weigh in with equipment on, we are also able to add 7lbs to the total weight. This allows for a Mitey Mite to weigh a total of 103lbs to certify.
The first game weight with equipment will be the 90lbs plus 10lbs for equipment and cold weather clothing along with scale differential allowance.
A Mitey Mite can weigh 100lbs for the first game.
Pee Wee
9-11 years old 75-120lbs
12 year olds 75-100
We are adding 6lbs for a child to certify, and 8 lbs for equipment. For a 9-11 year old the total weight for certification will be 134. For a 12 year old the certification weight will be 114lbs.
In order to play the first game the 9-11 year old will need to be 130lbs or under and the 12 year old will need to be 110lbs or under, these weights are with the equipment allowance, cold weather allowance and scale differential allowance.
**All weights are to be taken with equipment minus the helmet.**
**All weights and allowances are in accordance with Pop Warner National Rules.**
**When wearing full sleeve cotton jerseys and undergarments the addition of 1lbs is authorized**
Cheerleaders
Cheerleaders follow the age schematic only. No weights are used in determining what division of play a cheerleader should be in.
Mitey Mites - 7-9 years old
Pee Wee - 9-12 years old
Jr. Midget - 10-13 years old
